Solar Power Home made, is it possible?

A young PhD student and lecturer in the school of photovoltaic and renewable energy engineering at the University of NSW, Ms Kuepper is working her way towards making this dream a reality. She’d like to make it possible for everyone to be able to have access to energy regardless of the time or location.  She is quoted saying that by providing sources of renewable energy such as solar can help less-developed countries and their inhabitants

“read at night, keep informed about the world through radio and television and refrigerate life-saving vaccines”

This is not only a very noble gesture that can save thousands if not millions of lives, but can also save great pieces of our environment, helping us keep it intact for forthcoming generations, who will be able to enjoy whatever we are currently enjoying presently.

Ms Kuepper is aware that current methods may be expensive, or may require extensive capital to implement, however she firmly believes that by working hard, and by striving to think out-of-the-box, ground breaking methods can be discovered, that will allow households to have the Solar Power Home concept, installed in their homes, providing an enormity of renewable energy to several regions across the globe.  Click here to view the full source of this article

I sincerely hope that Ms. Kuepper’s spark of great thought is just the initial step towards having more people looking for great methods for the application of the solar power home concepts in households, removing the need of costly equipment purchasing or highly elaborate installations.  Should others follow on Ms. Kuepper’s steps, i am confident that more ground-breaking methods and techniques can aid the implementation of the Solar Power Home concept all over!

The Solar Power Home - the next big thing in homes

With the escalation in the price of oil, both businesses and individuals alike are looking for alternative methods of generating energy to power up, factories and homes. I initially thought that it was more cost affordable to utilize solar for large and centralized operations, rather than for a business or a home, however I must have been wrong.

Pacific Gas and Electric Co (PG&E) has just announced its intentions to buy 800 megawatts of photovoltaic solar power from two Bay Area companies.

“Energy experts said the purchase could change the face of the renewable energy industry by showing that photovoltaic power can be affordably produced on a large, centralized scale, not just on the rooftops of individual homes and businesses.” Source

Such a statement should encourage more families to convert their home into a Solar Power Home, due to the great benefits that such an alternative energy source is currently providing. The important lesson we all learn from this, is that we have to take care of our scarce resources, and the future is suggesting more families to convert their properties into a Solar Power Home quickly!

Solar Power Home - bringing in a bundle of benefits

Is the Solar Power Home set to become the next best thing? Solar lights are not only environmentally friendly, but they also help families save on their power bills. With the great increase in the price of oil, researchers are looking for alternative methods of generating energy to power up appliances in homes and businesses, and one of these is solar power, thus the need of a Solar Power Home.

A Solar Power Home, by definition has a higher market value than that of any regular home; this is just a great selling point for anyone who is currently looking to sell his or her property. One can simply brand his place as the Solar Power Home which is so valuable in times like these when oil is priced at around $114.

According to a study by ICF Consulting, it is estimated that $1,500 in annual electric bill savings from solar will equate to $30,000 in additional resell value, quite a fair deal i guess, if you’re interested in knowing more, check my source here. This concept is definitely one which we’ll be seeing more of in the near future, and I would encourage anyone who is interested to read more about this concept and provide feedback about the Solar Power Home.
